Paris ALS Centre, Hôpital de la Salpêtrière

Paris ALS center was created by Pr Vincent Meininger. It is devoted to the diagnosis and care of ALS and other motorneuron diseases patients. Our first objective was to study natural history and to perform clinimetric longitudinal studies. This strategy led to the first successfull clinical trial in 1994. Beside this therapeutic involvement, the center acquired an expertise in muscle biomarkers, genotype/phenotype correlations and neuroimaging.
