The 10th annual ENCALS meeting will take place in Trinity College Dublin , from May 25-27 , and promises to be an exciting and stimulating weekend
Six top international speakers have been invited to provide cutting edge overviews in areas of key interest to ALS researchers. These include:- Dr.Teepu Siddique -Northwestern University Chicago, (invited by the Latran Foundation)

- Dr.Sharon Abrahams Univerisity of Edinburgh

The meeting is now open for registration and abstract submission.
The registration fee is 220 Euro (PhD students can get a 70 Euro discount by typing "Student" in the Coupon Code.

- Lunch and Diner on Saturday
- Lunch on Sunday
The ENCALS program committee will select the abstracts according to quality of the results, their importance in ALS research, and the relevance of the subject matter to the themes of the draft progamme.
The conference will take place in the new Biomedical Sciences Institute on Pearse Street. There are many hotels and guest houses in the area. Limited accommodation will be available on campus, and arrangements have been made with the following hotels. Early booking is recommended.
ENCALS Young Investigator Award
The ENCALS Award Committee would like to invite applicants to the 2012 ENCALS Young Investigator Award.
Eligibility
To be eligible you must be 40 or younger on 1 September 2012.
Criteria
The award will be given to the Young Investigator Meeting delegate who, in the opinion of the panel, has generated research that is most outstanding or innovative. Criteria will include any or all of novelty, challenge to existing ideas about ALS, results with patient benefit, and impact on our understanding of ALS.
The awardee will be asked to give a presentation of their work.
Application procedure
To apply, please submit a one page structured abstract of your work, a letter of support from your supervisor and a CV. Please send these to Petra Berk (P.A.Berk@umcutrecht.nl) and copy Ammar Al-Chalabi (ammar.al-chalabi@kcl.ac.uk). Closing date for submissions is Friday 16 March 2012.
